Marriage License- Greenville, SC
When it comes to 'making it official' we can discuss options. Any ordained friend or family member could be part of it (including your wedding day officiant) or, if you want to keep it super tight lipped, we can help you internally as my team is all ordained and can sign licenses. What we would do is make copies of it for day-of if you did want to have photos of you signing a license
Below is the information for getting your marriage license in Greenville County. A silver lining of COVID is that they made this process much easier for couples.
Step 1: Fill out the Marriage License Worksheet
Make sure you select that you want to get your license via mail (otherwise one of you needs to go to the Greenville County Courthouse to get the physical license). There will be a payment area on the bottom to pay for your marriage license fee.
Step 2: Once the worksheet is received, they will send you over the official application by email to the first person listed on the worksheet. Once you receive it, you need to make sure everything is correct, get it notarized, then you can mail it back to: Greenville County Probate Court, Marriage License Division, 301 University Ridge, Suite 5600, Greenville, SC 29601
Step 3: They will send you the license via mail (so long as that is what you selected in the Worksheet). Make sure you bring the entire thing, all three copies, with you to the wedding (or you can give it to me whenever). The two of you and your officiant will sign all three copies. One of them will be yours to keep and the others will be mailed back to the Courthouse.
