Detail Boxes

A few weeks before your wedding, find a large plastic container with a lid that's about the size of a large shoe box. Here is a link to one if you'd like to purchase the one I recommend.

In your box you will begin collecting a few of your "detail" items. These items your photographer will use for your "detail flat lays" as seen at the bottom of this note.

Here is a checklist of items to consider having in your details box:

Stationery:

• Save the Date

• Invitation Suite- invitation, blank envelope (or can be addressed to the bride and groom), RSVP card, rehearsal dinner invitation, attire card, vintage stamps, etc.

• Menu

Bride's Accessories:

• Wedding Day Shoes

• Veil/Headpiece

• Wedding band

• Engagement ring

• Class ring

• Jewelry Dish

• Earrings

• Bracelets

• Necklaces

• Wedding day perfume

• Lipstick

• Garter

• Hankerchiefs

• Family heirlooms or trinkets

• Custom Hanger

Groom's Accessories:

• Wedding Day Shoes

• Cuff links

• Wedding band

• Tie/Pocket square

• Watch

• Cologne

• Class ring

You can also ask your florist to provide a few loose florals for your wedding day. If you have a specific vision in your mind for your flatlay, make sure to communicate this with your wedding photographer.
